Fourth year
Royal DSM N.V.
In the first half of my fourth year I did an internship at DSM Engineering Materials. The company is a global top-3 supplier of thermoplastics for clients like Apple, Samsung and big automotive companies. Unfortunately I can't show my works directly on the website, but I can share (public) parts of my work during an arranged meeting.
2nd Minor: Global Awareness Western Cape, South Africa
Because of the valuable experience of living abroad and working on projects in a totally different culture I decided to continue my study with a second (non mandatory) minor. As part of the minor Global Awareness I joined projects in the Western Cape-region of South Africa to help the local communities and municipality with my skills and knowledge. Unfortunately I had to return to The Netherlands after 1.5 month because of the corona pandemic.
Third year
1st Minor: Entrepreneurship
Following a year long gap-year to get a better idea of how I wanted to continue my study and in what direction I wanted to move, my next step was the minor Entrepreneurship. This minor focused on the skills and mindset needed when starting an entrepreneurial adventure.

Microflown AVISA internship
In the first half of my third year I had a 4.5 month placement at Microflown: AVISA to work on technical, acoustic challenges there; in a fully international team.

LEGO
Having had an unique project with LEGO, the biggest toy (and tire!) manufacturer in the world, I unfortunately can't show anything of my work because of the signed NDA. Learned a lot of things though!

Medical LFA Reader
We joined the collaboration of the Wageningen University and HAN University of Applied Sciences to further develop the reader responsible for analysing (medical) lateral flow assays.

Gazelle Storage Solution
Using the brands' identity and form language I designed a new, simple solution
for the chain lock problem lots of cyclists have when using their bicycle: Where do I leave the chain lock?

Burgers' Zoo Mobility
Being asked to investigate the mobility difficulties in the park,
we analysed the zoo and interviewed visitors to create solution concepts.

Solarboat Internship
In the first half of my second year I had an internship at the HAN Solarboat, in which
worked in a team of students to improve the boat for the new season.

Modern Delivery Vehicle
More and more companies are delivering their goods at the door of the customer but the city centers are getting busier and busier.

Product to CAD model
I teamed up with Goedmeubel (Eng: Good Furniture) to process their existing furniture to 3D CAD models and renders.

Solar Collector
I was asked to draft the support frame for a solar collector of which the main part was already finished.

NOMAD Family Tent
NOMAD, a Dutch outdoor company, submit the task to design a innovative 'New Family' tent.

Doctors Without Borders 'Warm Water in Africa'
This was the first time working in a group of engineering students with me shaping and thinking out the concept.

The second design task was to design a so called 'Push & Pull' toy for toddlers with mass production as main focus.
